Description

So I downloaded and installed the new version of DAZ Studio. And opened it up to see if there was anything new to note. And got sucked into a picture even though I had SWORE I'd lay off floof art for at least a week. Ended up forcing myself to at least multitask with paying work while she rendered in the background and only working on her inbetween project breaks.

She was created using Mil Horse and Genesis. Yeah I know there's this centaur thing called Centaurus, and I've even had those sets for a long time while wanting to make a centaur. But I dislike the way the waists are. I understand why they were created that way, mind you, but I don't have to like them. So when I made this little lady, I pushed the two figures together, spent a long time fighting Hexagon and stuff trying to edit the exported object so the waste would fit smoothly, messed up the textures, and finally said screw it and rendered it as is.

Genesis and the horse have modified textures on them that fit together, it's just the polygons were mean to me. So I ended up doing postwork to make the polygon evil go away.

And yes, she's proportionate in my mind. I don't see centaurs with oversized hard-to-feed bodies. They don't exist in my fantasy world.

This one won't be a book cover, but I will sell art cards for it once I can afford to have some made. They will be available through my little shop: www.apocalypsewriters.com/ooakleaf
